Shipping/Logistics Clerk (m/f/x)
Your tasks: Independent processing and handling of national and international shipping orders, including the creation and verification of shipping, customs, and export documents
Handling of export processes in compliance with applicable customs and foreign trade regulations, as well as support with import processes
Advising and supporting internal specialist departments on all matters regarding national and international shipping, as well as on customs law, export, and import-related questions
Checking and explaining required shipping, export, and customs documents, as well as supporting the correct determination of commodity codes, proofs of origin, and export papers
Communication and coordination with freight forwarders, carriers, customs authorities, international business partners, as well as purchasing, sales, production, and warehouse
Support in selecting suitable shipping and transport solutions, as well as advising on delivery terms, Incoterm, and country-specific requirements
Maintenance and verification of master data as well as shipping and customs documentation
Support in the optimization of shipping and customs processes as well as participation in ensuring legally compliant and efficient foreign trade processes
Collaboration on complaints, inquiries, and special shipments, as well as clarification of special cases, e.g., for express shipments, dangerous goods, or export restrictions
Processing of letter of credit and documentary collection transactions
Handling of shipping-related orders
Checking and approving shipping-related invoices
Legally secure archiving of all commercial documents
Obtaining and tracking proof of delivery
After-delivery service/complaint handling as well as processing of transport and insurance damages
Your profile: Completed commercial training, ideally in the field of freight forwarding, logistics, wholesale and foreign trade, or comparable
Professional experience of at least 3 years in shipping and customs clearance, preferably in an international environment
Good knowledge of export and import processing as well as customs law
Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools
Proficient use of shipping and ERP systems, preferably in AMS.ERP and Format-Iveas
Good written and spoken English skills, other foreign languages an advantage
Knowledge of ATLAS or other customs systems desirable
Business-fluent English skills in speaking and writing (at least B2), other foreign languages an advantage
