About the company
Roto-Rooter, a trusted leader in plumbing, drain cleaning, and underground services, is seeking a motivated and hardworking Plumbing Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work alongside licensed plumbers, and develop your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Your tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, fixtures, and water supply/drainage lines.
- Perform drain cleaning services using specialized equipment (augers, hydro-jetters, cameras, etc.).
- Support senior technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing and drainage issues.
- Complete on-call service rotations for emergency plumbing and drain calls (evenings, weekends, as scheduled).
- Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials for daily jobs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all job sites and company vehicles.
- Follow safety policies, plumbing codes, and supervisor instructions at all times.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and represent the company positively on every call.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous plumbing, drain cleaning, or construction experience is an asset, but we?re willing to train the right candidate.
- Mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and comfortable working with plumbing and drain equipment.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in tight spaces.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call schedule.
- Valid Class 5 driver?s licence (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude toward teamwork and learning.
- Safety certifications such as First Aid and WHMIS are considered an asset.
