Your new department

Operations Near Patient Care (DOB) is a supporting pillar within Global Diagnostic Operations. Thanks to the systematic improvement of our cost structure, continuous optimizations, and efficiency increases, we are successfully adapting to changes in our environment. The Quality Control area within the Operations Near Patient Care Mannheim division is responsible for the timely testing and release of raw materials, intermediate, and final products of everything required for the manufacture of the Near Patient Care portfolio (HIP, SmartGuide, Accu-Chek, Cardiac, Accutrend, Combur, Pulse, Coagu-Chek etc.), such as test systems, test strips, cassettes, patches, insulin pumps, and consumables.

Your tasks

• You independently and on schedule perform tests of materials from external and internal production, including all preliminary and follow-up work
• In doing so, you use various analytical methods and work with various aids and testing machines
• You place particular emphasis on compliance and working according to existing regulations and work instructions, as well as on GMP-compliant documentation of results
• You document and archive results in, e.g., SAP, ERP, and other electronic as well as paper-based systems
• As part of the preparations for batch release, you check the received results for plausibility and completeness
• You recognize quality problems and evaluate, escalate, and inform responsible persons
• You maintain and monitor control charts and provide timely information about unusual trends
• You support the creation and modification of specification documents and operating procedures
• You create or modify specification documents and operating procedures
• You represent the team in project meetings and present results there
• You plan and carry out special measurements due to product problems and improvement measures
• Depending on your activity, you train new colleagues and provide collegial guidance, advice, and support
• You take on the leadership of individual activities for continuous improvement through various approaches, e.g., GO Lean, agile, project

Your profile

• You have successfully completed vocational training as a Chemielaborant, Physiklaborant, or CTA (for CTA with several years of experience in quality control)
• You have already gained experience in quality control/analytical methods or with end-customer diagnostic systems now or in the recent past (maximum of two years ago)
• You are characterized by an independent and careful way of working and have experience in the GxP environment
• Organizational talent and reliability are among your strengths
• You enjoy working in a team
• You see changes as an opportunity for further development and approach them with curiosity. Furthermore, you motivate your teammates to embrace changes
• Good knowledge of using Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel) as well as English are required
