Electrician

Install Public Address system cabling, speakers, horns, ceiling speakers, wall-mounted speakers, volume controllers, microphones, amplifiers, racks, and associated equipment.

Pull, route, dress, label, and terminate low-voltage cables.

Install conduits, cable trays, trunking, junction boxes, and related containment when required.

Install and connect PA system equipment according to approved drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer instructions.

Perform speaker-line connections, including 70V/100V distributed speaker systems where applicable.

Ensure correct polarity, cable identification, termination, and equipment grounding.

Install and organize PA equipment inside communication and audio racks.

Assist with amplifier, mixer, paging microphone, zone controller, and system equipment connections.

Perform continuity, insulation, and basic electrical tests before system commissioning.

Test installed speakers and circuits to confirm correct operation and coverage.

Identify and troubleshoot cable faults, incorrect connections, damaged speakers, and other installation problems.

Assist engineers and commissioning technicians during system testing and commissioning.

Read and follow electrical drawings, PA system layouts, schematics, cable schedules, and installation details.

Report installation progress, site problems, material shortages, and technical issues to the site supervisor or project engineer.

Maintain proper labeling and documentation for installed cables and equipment.

Protect installed equipment and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Follow company quality procedures and project installation standards.

Comply with all site health and safety requirements, including working at height, ladder safety, and electrical safety procedures.

Coordinate with other trades such as electrical, fire alarm, CCTV, networking, and construction teams when required.

Technical diploma, vocational certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Previous experience in electrical or ELV/low-voltage system installation.

Experience installing Public Address, audio, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, or similar ELV systems is preferred.

Ability to understand basic electrical and low-voltage wiring diagrams.

Familiarity with cable termination, testing, and fault finding.

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, cable testers, and installation equipment.

Ability to work on ladders and at heights where required.

Ability to work independently and as part of an installation team.
