Treasury Team Leader

6 Month FTC Location: Birmingham Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE

About the Role

Robert Walters are currently supporting a leading business in Birmingham in their recruitment of a Treasury Team Leader. This is a key role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day treasury operations, managing bank accounts, and ensuring effective cash management across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities of Treasury Team Leader

• Manage and oversee multiple corporate bank accounts across various entities and jurisdictions.
• Monitor daily cash positions and ensure sufficient liquidity across the business.
• Lead cash forecasting and short to medium-term liquidity planning.
• Execute and authorise treasury transactions, including intercompany funding, transfers, and payments.
• Maintain strong relationships with banking partners and support banking contract negotiations.
• Ensure all treasury activities comply with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
• Manage bank mandate administration, account openings, closures, and signatory maintenance.
• Oversee payment processing activities, ensuring accuracy, security, and timely execution.
• Identify opportunities to streamline treasury processes and improve efficiency through automation and system enhancements.
• Support month-end, year-end, and audit requirements relating to treasury activities.
• Produce treasury reports and cash flow analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a treasury team whilst driving high performance and continuous improvement.

About You - Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within Treasury, Cash Management, Banking Operations, or Corporate Finance.
• Experience managing multiple bank accounts across a complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
• Experience operating within a group finance, or multi-entity environment.
• Excellent knowledge of banking platforms and electronic payment systems.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external partners.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on controls, governance, and risk management.
• Previous team leadership or people management experience.
