What you'll do:

As a Product Controller based in Singapore, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of investment management operations.

Produce accurate daily P&L reports across multiple trading desks by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently and ensure timely delivery.

Take ownership of the month-end NAV finalisation process, including thorough valuation verification to guarantee accuracy and compliance with internal standards.

Respond promptly to ad hoc information requests from Portfolio Managers, senior management, and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and precision in all communications.

Participate actively in ongoing process improvement initiatives and contribute to wider transformation projects within the Product Control function.

Work collaboratively with colleagues in Product Control as well as Financial Reporting and Technology teams to build strong interdepartmental relationships.

Support the publication and control of official daily P&L at Portfolio Manager, Desk, and Fund levels while maintaining oversight of monthly NAV production.

Assist in the approval process for distribution of statements to investors by ensuring data integrity and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Engage in regular analysis of P&L data to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for further investigation, providing valuable insights for decision-making.

Contribute ideas towards developing innovative approaches that enhance business controls and operational efficiency within the department.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant asset classes, valuation methodologies, and industry best practices through ongoing learning and professional development.

What you bring:

To excel as a Product Controller in this prestigious investment management setting, you will bring proven experience either directly from product control roles within banks or hedge funds—or as a newly qualified Chartered Accountant eager to apply your expertise within financial markets.

Demonstrated experience as a Product Controller involved in daily P&L production within either a bank or hedge fund environment with strong understanding of Fixed Income derivative and securities products.

Alternatively, recently qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ICAS) from a major audit firm with clear interest in Fixed Income derivative and securities products is highly valued.

Strong academic qualifications in a numerate subject from a top-tier academic institution are essential for success in this position.

Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation tasks is required.

Excellent communication skills with proven ability to build positive working relationships across departments such as Product Control, Financial Reporting, and Technology teams.

Proactive approach with comfort taking initiative when managing competing priorities across varying timescales is important.

Growth mindset with enthusiasm for continuous learning and willingness to constructively challenge existing processes is highly desirable.

Experience using common visualisation tools (such as Tableau or Power BI), ETL tools (like Alteryx), or Python programming would be advantageous but not essential.

Exposure to more than one asset class provides additional perspective that can benefit team discussions and problem-solving efforts.

Familiarity with valuation control or independent price verification (IPV) processes would be considered beneficial.
