Cost Accountant

Tasks of the Cost Accountant:

• Record entries and actively participate in monthly and annual closings
• Prepare monthly financial statements according to IFRS standards in collaboration with operational teams
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and reporting procedures
• Participate in the preparation of statutory annual accounts, budgets, and forecasts
• Contribute to tax filings in collaboration with specialized teams
• Ensure the link between accounting and the operational reality of the business to guarantee relevant financial reporting
• Participate in the optimization, automation, and digitalization of accounting processes
• Intervene in cross-functional financial transformation projects, from needs definition to implementation

The ideal profile for a Cost Accountant:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or economics
• Minimum 5 years of experience in general or cost accounting
• Very good command of Belgian accounting principles; knowledge of IFRS standards is a real asset
• Professional level in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with numerical data
• Curiosity, sense of responsibility, and critical thinking
