For an international and rapidly growing company active in several European countries, we as an interim agency are looking for a Treasury & Finance Specialist (Korean/English). Our client is part of a global group with the European headquarters in Frankfurt and the global headquarters in South Korea. They are looking for support for their location in Paal-Beringen.

This concerns a junior finance position with international scope, in which you will work closely with colleagues in Belgium, other European locations, and the headquarters.

Job Description:

As a Treasury & Finance Specialist, you will support treasury and finance activities at a European level and contribute to reporting towards HQ. You will combine operational tasks with project-based support regarding processes, systems, and internal control.

Treasury integration & HQ reporting support

• Close cooperation with the Global Finance Team at the headquarters to support and optimize global treasury activities;
• Supporting the integration of treasury processes within 7 European locations with a focus on cost reduction, risk management, and optimization of working capital;
• Daily monitoring of cash positions and support with cash pooling;
• Support with cashflow forecasting and liquidity monitoring;
• Ad-hoc reporting towards HQ.

Finance projects (processes / systems / policies)

• Contributing to process improvements and automation projects;
• Supporting initiatives regarding data governance and standardization of reporting.

Internal control & financial governance

• Supporting IACS/SOX-like control processes and internal control matrices;
• Assisting with the testing of key controls (closing, revenue, payments, treasury);
• Contributing to the drafting, updating, and rolling out of financial policies (accounting policies, approval authorities, limits, treasury procedures, guarantees/insurances, etc.).

Closing, reporting & audit support

• Supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings;
• (cut-off controls, journal entries, reclassifications, provisions, and accruals);
• Support with audit activities.

Profile:

• Bachelor in Accountancy, Finance, Taxation, Treasury or similar;
• 1 to 3 years of experience within accounting, controlling, treasury, or business management;
• Very good Korean and very good knowledge of English;
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel;
• Strong analytical thinking skills and attention to detail;
• Eager to learn and motivated to work within a multi-branch European finance environment.
