Technology Delivery Lead (Public Sector) - Newcastle Robert Half are working with a client who are seeking an experienced Technology Delivery Lead at Associate Director or Director level to establish and lead a new technology managed services capability in Newcastle.

Your tasks

This is a senior leadership opportunity combining responsibility for complex service delivery with the chance to build, develop and scale a high-performing local team. The successful candidate will lead service mobilisation and governance, drive operational excellence, and create structured training and development pathways to develop a confident, client-ready workforce.

• Lead the mobilisation, transition and ongoing delivery of large-scale technology managed services.
• Establish robust governance, service management, performance reporting and continuous improvement.
• Build and scale a multidisciplinary delivery team, including recruitment, onboarding, training and succession planning.
• Develop learning pathways for graduates, apprentices and early-career professionals.
• Manage resource planning, budgets, utilisation and contractual commitments.
• Build strong relationships with senior Public Sector clients and technology partners, including UiPath.
• Coach and develop delivery managers, technical leads and emerging talent.

Requirements

Key experience

• Significant experience leading large-scale technology managed services and/or complex technology programmes.
• Strong Public Sector experience, or a background in comparable regulated environments.
• Proven expertise in service mobilisation, transition, stabilisation, governance and operational delivery.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams against formal service levels, performance measures and contractual commitments.
• A demonstrable track record of establishing, building and scaling a delivery team or technology capability from the ground up.
