Financial Controlling Specialist (m/f/x), regio Puurs

For a leading international organization, we are looking for a Financial Controlling Specialist to strengthen the Regional Shared Service Center (RSSC) in Western Europe. From the Belgian holding in Puurs, you will support multiple entities within the region and act as a key person between Finance, Management, and the local Managing Directors.

This role offers a unique combination of analysis, business partnering, international exposure, and future-oriented growth opportunities. You will have the opportunity to move to another European branch within RSSC after 1 to 2 years, or to build a long-term career within Belgium.

Your responsibilities

Within the RSSC, you are responsible for the complete controlling aspect of various European entities. Specifically, this includes:

Financial analysis & reporting

  • Analyzing profit/loss, balance sheet, and operational results.
  • Preparing and conducting discussions with regional management teams.
  • Reporting to Management and local MD's with a focus on insights, risks, and optimization.

Business partnering & process improvement

  • Advising Management and Operations on business performance.
  • Identifying and developing initiatives to improve profitability.
  • Optimizing processes around work in progress and gross margin.

Controlling & risk monitoring

  • Proactively monitoring the balance sheet and identifying risks in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring correct forecast and budget processes via SAP BPC.
  • Supporting audits and overseeing compliance with internal processes.

Operational & project-based

  • Acting as the point of contact for the Group for your entities.
  • Contributing to an up-to-date SAP structure.
  • Representing the RSSC at local management meetings.
  • Performing ad-hoc analyses and supporting overhead cost control.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or similar.
  • Initial experience within Controlling, Finance Consulting, or Audit.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel; SAP is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (group working language); other languages are an asset.
  • Strong communicator, analytical, critical, and solution-oriented.
  • Comfortable in a fast-growing, changing international environment.
  • Ownership, accuracy, and deadlines do not intimidate you.
