Are you an Allround GL Accountant who loves taking ownership and derives energy from a broad role within accounting? For a stable, family-owned SME with international activity, we are looking for a GL Accountant to support the financial operations. There are opportunities for growth and, if interested, to travel to foreign sites for finance-related ERP implementations to support the Financial Manager.

This company is active within the textile sector and supplies applications for diverse markets. The company combines a strong family foundation with an international structure and export-oriented operations.

Your function

As an Allround GL Accountant, you will join a compact finance team where collaboration is central. You will receive a varied set of tasks and contribute to the correct and timely processing of the accounting.

You will work on the daily financial flow, the monthly closing, and statutory filings. Additionally, you will regularly have contact with foreign colleagues and contribute ideas for optimizations, including in the context of a future ERP migration across the various foreign sites.

Task package

• Daily monitoring of treasury and processing of bank statements;
• Preparing and executing payments;
• Entering and processing purchase invoices;
• Monitoring invoice matching and direct cost postings;
• Processing Visa expenses;
• Submitting VAT returns and intra-community declarations;
• Performing monthly closings, including provisions and various postings;
• Processing depreciation and general accounting transactions;
• Supporting audit preparation;
• Helping to monitor the complete accounting flow;
• Preparing reporting and Excel overviews;
• Maintaining contact with international colleagues;
• Acting as a back-up for the Group Controller and Financial Manager.

Your profile

• You have a background in accounting and possess at least several years of relevant experience;
• A good basic knowledge of French and English is required for international communication;
• You have a good knowledge of Excel and can work fluently with, among other things, pivot tables;
• Knowledge of Navision and/or Business Central is an asset;
• Experience with controlling or consolidation is a plus, but not a must;
• You are hands-on, accurate, and enjoy working in a team;
• You are sufficiently independent to provide back-up within a small finance team.
