The Company

A well-established organization in the energy and oil & gas sector is currently seeking a 1-year contract Accountant to join their dynamic team.

The Role

The role is responsible for overseeing general ledger management, month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy, integrity, and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual results. Other duties include managing and coordinating offshore finance teams in executing closing activities, reviewing journals and reconciliations, maintaining standard operating procedures, and ensuring accurate reporting through financial consolidation systems.

The role also supports financial controls, risk assessments, and process improvement initiatives, while leading statutory and group audits, preparing audited financial statements, and liaising with auditors and joint venture partners.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate should have Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, or a related discipline, with a CPA qualification and at least 4 years of relevant accounting or audit experience, particularly in consolidation accounting. Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, financial reporting, financial management, and taxation. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with Oracle knowledge being an advantage. Experience working with shared service teams is preferred.
