Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the worksite.
- Plan and arrange workers, subcontractors, materials, tools, and equipment for daily work.
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality requirements.
- Supervise civil, structural, architectural, renovation, repair, carpentry, partition, plumbing, M&E, and other building-related works.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Safety personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and workers to ensure smooth site operations.
- Monitor workers' productivity and ensure assigned works are completed on time.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify construction, quality, safety, or coordination issues.
- Ensure workers and subcontractors follow site safety requirements, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, PPE requirements, and safety instructions.
- Report site problems, delays, defects, unsafe conditions, incidents, and other important matters to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available when required.
- Check completed works and arrange rectification where workmanship does not meet project requirements.
- Attend toolbox meetings, site meetings, inspections, and coordination meetings when required.
- Maintain basic daily site records, including manpower, work progress, materials, and completed activities.
- Assist with inspections, testing, defect rectification, project completion, and handover activities.
- Perform other site supervision duties assigned by the Project Manager or Management.
Working Hours
- Must be willing to work overtime when required to meet project schedules and site requirements.
- Must be willing to stand by and supervise night work when required.
Requirements
- Relevant construction/site supervision experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, renovation, plumbing, carpentry, partition, and general building works.
- Experience with M&E installation and coordination will be an advantage.
- Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Able to supervise workers and subcontractors effectively.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Responsible, proactive, and able to resolve site issues independently.
- Basic knowledge of Singapore construction site safety requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
