Education: College/CEGEP.
Tasks:
- Collect information through interview, investigation and observation.
- Gather the information for the interviews.
- Interview the individuals.
- Receive, analyze and verify copy for accuracy.
- Research and report on developments in specialized fields such as medicine, science and technology.
- Write critical reviews of literary, musical and other artistic works based on knowledge, judgement and experience.
- Write editorials and commentaries on topics of current interest to stimulate public interest and express the views of a publication or broadcasting station.
- Write news stories for publication and broadcast.
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
Support for youths:
- Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment.
- Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
