Senior Account Executive
Job Description: Manage and oversee the monthly sub-ledger closing for fixed assets, coordinating closely with the Shared Service Centre (SSC) on asset capitalisation, disposals, write-offs, transfers, and monthly depreciation Review, reconcile, and maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and asset movement schedules to ensure integrity and policy compliance. Process capital expenditure (Capex) requisitions and disposal documentations, tracking spending against approved budgets while ensuring proper governance and documentation retention. Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of physical fixed asset tagging. Support the annual fixed asset budgeting cycle by preparing templates, reviewing submissions, forecasting depreciation, and consolidating budget figures. Lead and coordinate the annual physical stock-take exercise for rental assets, including variance analysis, reconciliation, and reporting. Prepare monthly and year-end audit schedules relating to fixed assets. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing packages. Prepare monthly management packs, quarterly intercompany reporting schedules, and ad-hoc analytical reports required by management. Prepare quarterly reporting packages for submission to Caterpillar, ensuring strict compliance with principal reporting timelines and guidelines. Act as a key liaison point with internal and external auditors for fixed assets and intercompany transactions, addressing queries promptly. Participate actively in process re-engineering, internal control enhancements, and the implementation/transition to a new ERP system. Support special assignments and ad-hoc finance projects directed by management.
Requirements: Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional accounting qualification. Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience, with proven depth in Fixed Asset accounting, Capex governance, and financial/management reporting. Prior experience in medium to large corporate setups or multinational companies (MNC) handling multi-entity accounts. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with hands-on experience in ERP software (exposure to Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage). Strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a firm commitment to data accuracy. Effective communication skills, strong team collaboration, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
