Science Lab Technician (School)

We are seeking a responsible and hands-on Science Lab Technician to support Science practical activities, laboratory operations and the school’s green learning spaces.  Job Description  Provide logistical and technical support for Science lessons, including preparation and maintenance of materials and laboratory apparatus. 

Maintain Science laboratory safety through proper housekeeping, risk assessment compliance and regular checks of safety equipment and fittings. 

Maintain the school’s outdoor green learning spaces through weeding, pruning, plant propagation, harvesting and routine equipment maintenance. 

Assist with stock checks, resource orders, deliveries, invoices and departmental financial records. 

Perform simple repairs on common Science learning materials and activity kits. 

Perform other duties assigned by the School Leaders, HOD (Science) and assigned school staff. 

Requirements  Minimum GCE O Level or at least 2 years’ experience working in a Primary School laboratory. 

Good understanding of laboratory safety. 

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

Hands-on skills in simple repairs of Science learning materials. 

Knowledge and practical skills in plant growing and maintenance. 

Good communication skills and able to work well with adults and children. 

Others  Contract Period: 1 Jan 2027 to 31 Dec 2027 (12 months) 

Working Hours: Mon–Fri, 7:30am–5:00pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
