Air Freight Coordinator
Time Critical Imports & Exports Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Air Freight Coordinator to join a busy Time Critical team based in Heathrow .
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Air Freight professional with Import and Export knowledge to join a specialist logistics operation handling urgent and time-sensitive shipments. You will coordinate shipments from collection through to final delivery, working closely with customers, suppliers, agents and transport providers to ensure critical movements are completed successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Air Import and Export shipments from start to finish, including collections, deliveries and ongoing customer updates.
- Prepare and check air freight documentation, including MAWBs and HAWBs, ensuring all information is accurate.
- Complete Import and Export customs entries in accordance with UK HMRC requirements.
- Track live shipments and manage Time Critical and AOG movements, prioritising urgent freight and identifying alternative solutions when required.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, agents, transport providers and internal teams to resolve operational queries, discrepancies and delays.
- Manage job costing, file invoicing and cost control while maintaining accurate system and shipment records.
The Successful Candidate
- Previous experience within Air Freight operations, ideally covering both Imports and Exports.
- Experience handling Time Critical or AOG shipments would be highly advantageous.
- Good understanding of Import and Export customs procedures and air freight documentation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple urgent shipments and changing priorities.
- Proactive and solution-focused approach with excellent communication and IT skills.
- Able to provide a full 5-year checkable work history for referencing and compliance requirements.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary of £35,000 - £42,000 , depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 .
- Quarterly performance bonus following probation, currently ranging from £1,000 - £2,500 per quarter , with up to £10,000 additional annual earning potential.
