About the Role

Richmond Hill Honda is looking for a motivated and customer-focused *Vehicle Sales & Leasing Consultant* to join our Sales Department.

This role is focused on helping customers throughout the vehicle purchase and leasing process ? from understanding their needs and selecting the right vehicle to the test drive, purchase and final delivery.

Successful Sales Consultants build relationships rather than simply completing transactions. The role also involves maintaining contact with customers after delivery, developing new business, generating repeat and referral opportunities, and maintaining strong knowledge of Honda vehicles and the automotive industry.

We're looking for someone who communicates well, enjoys working with people, is motivated by performance, and takes a professional approach to the customer experience.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome customers and identify their vehicle needs through effective questions and listening
  • Present new and pre-owned vehicle options based on customer needs
  • Demonstrate vehicle features, technology and benefits
  • Conduct vehicle test drives
  • Assist customers throughout the vehicle purchase or leasing process
  • Coordinate with Sales Managers and the Finance & Insurance Department throughout the transaction
  • Complete vehicle deliveries and ensure customers understand key vehicle features, warranty information and applicable documentation
  • Maintain customer follow-up after vehicle delivery
  • Develop repeat and referral business through ongoing customer relationships
  • Maintain and develop prospective customer opportunities
  • Maintain current knowledge of Honda products, features, accessories, programs and automotive technology
  • Maintain knowledge of new and pre-owned vehicle inventory
  • Attend sales meetings and participate in applicable product and sales training
  • Work with Sales Management to establish and review individual sales objectives and activities
  • Maintain an understanding of vehicle values, trade-ins and depreciation
  • Follow OMVIC requirements and other applicable laws, regulations and dealership policies governing vehicle sales
  • Introduce customers to appropriate dealership departments and personnel as part of the ownership experience

  • Valid Ontario driver's licence and a driving record acceptable to the dealership's insurance requirements
  • Valid OMVIC registration, or eligibility to obtain OMVIC registration

Previous automotive sales experience is considered an asset; however, candidates with strong customer service or sales experience from other industries may also be considered.

Compensation

This is a *commission-based position*. Typical annual compensation is approximately *$70,000?$120,000*, based on individual sales performance.

Actual earnings will vary based on individual sales performance.
