Teacher for Special Tasks (Part-time, 65%)
in the field of English Didactics starting from 01.10.2026.
A passion for teaching and learning the English language, literatures, and cultures characterizes our dynamic team in English Didactics, which is led by a professorship. Shape the future of English teacher training in the Bonn region with us!
Your tasks: independent design, planning, preparation, implementation, and continuous development of courses in English Didactics amounting to 8.45 SWS, including the performance of examination tasks associated with teaching as well as the supervision of theses.
Your profile: above-average completed academic teaching degree (Master of Education / 1. Staatsexamen) in English, PhD in the field of English Didactics, full-time professional activity of at least two years and six months after successful completion of university studies, very good language competence in English, both written and spoken (implementation of courses in the English language), cooperative and team-oriented way of working, independent, self-reliant, and committed way of working, strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills, profound knowledge of the current state of English Didactics (especially competence orientation, digitalization, differentiation, Education for Sustainable Development).
Furthermore, the following are desirable: school practice experience in secondary education (usually proven by the 2. Staatsexamen), university teaching experience, especially in the field of foreign language didactics, experience in supervising subject-didactic theses at Bachelor and Master levels, a focus on foreign language teaching and learning in times of digitality and / or Virtual Exchange.
