The Wiesengut Teaching and Research Station, where 60 ha of arable land and 20 ha of grassland have been managed according to the guidelines of organic farming since 1988, serves as a location for research on organic farming, agroecology, and interdisciplinary research projects.

Your tasks:

  • Management and organization of the operational processes of the experimental systems and the practical farm operations,
  • Implementation of experimental activities at the Wiesengut location as well as other external locations according to defined criteria and in close coordination with the Scientific Management,
  • Data administration and management,
  • Support of certifications and quality assurance measures,
  • Participation in public relations and the presentation of the experimental systems.

Your Qualifications

  • Successfully completed studies in agricultural sciences (focus on crop production) or a comparable qualification (e.g., agricultural technician, master farmer) with relevant professional experience,
  • Sound knowledge of practical agriculture, especially organic farming,
  • Experience in agricultural experimental systems is desirable,
  • Strong social and leadership skills as well as the ability to lead an existing team in an agricultural experimental farm, promote cooperation in daily operations, and strengthen a good working relationship,
  • The competence to further develop proven workflows together with the employees and to shape changes constructively,
  • Good English skills,
  • Independent, structured, and responsible way of working as well as teamwork, flexibility, and willingness for further training.
