Then join us! La Banque de France is recruiting a: RAW MATERIALS BUYER (M/F) Chamalieres (63) – Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region
Reporting to the Purchasing Department Manager, you will manage the purchasing of raw materials and associated services for 2 industrial sites (printing and papermaking). You will contribute to the definition and implementation of the purchasing strategy for your scope, with the objective of optimizing costs, securing supplies, and developing supplier performance.
Your missions:
- Analyze the needs of different departments and define appropriate purchasing strategies
- Manage supplier consultations and participate in commercial negotiations
- Select the most relevant partners by balancing quality, costs, lead times, and innovation
- Manage and monitor supplier contracts throughout their entire life cycle
- Develop and manage a high-performing and sustainable supplier panel
- Monitor purchasing performance indicators
- Ensure market intelligence to identify optimization opportunities and sector developments
A graduate of higher education (Master's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or equivalent), you have significant experience as a buyer, and more specifically in raw materials purchasing. You master purchasing techniques and processes, contract law, ERP tools, and the Office Pack, and are able to operate in an international environment thanks to a good level of professional English.
Rigorous, analytical, and autonomous, you possess good interpersonal skills allowing you to convince, unite, and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. Result-oriented and focused on internal customer satisfaction, you demonstrate initiative, discretion, and a strong sense of confidentiality.

The industrial activities of La Banque de France are grouped in Auvergne, in classified installations subject to authorization, including a papermaking plant and a printing plant. These activities are positioned in two major types of markets: euro zone and non-euro zone, with a range of banknotes of 40 referenced products and an annual production target of more than 2.5 billion banknotes.
Position based near Clermont Ferrand (63), halfway between Paris and the Mediterranean, in the heart of the Auvergne volcanic region.
