Support Worker – Penryn, Cornwall

Location: Penryn, Cornwall Pay: £15.34 per hour Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: 12 weeks temporary, with potential to become permanent Start Date: 26th October 2026 Shifts: 5 days per week on a rolling rota, Monday–Sunday between 8am–9pm DBS required

We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join a supported housing service in Penryn , working with adults with complex needs. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll provide person-centred support, helping individuals build confidence, maintain independence and achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

• Provide tailored support to adults with complex needs
• Develop and maintain support plans
• Complete risk assessments and risk management
• Encourage independence and community engagement
• Support access to social, educational and employment opportunities
• Maintain accurate records and case notes
• Work closely with colleagues and external agencies
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures
• Undertake lone working as required

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience within support work, supported housing, homelessness or complex needs
• Understands support planning and risk management
• Can build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries
• Is confident working independently
• Is resilient, adaptable and comfortable working under pressure
• Has good IT and record-keeping skills
• Can work flexibly across the rota, including weekends and bank holidays
