Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Nottingham Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Working Hours: 36.25 hours per week Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a new opportunity with an established consultancy working across a varied portfolio of technically challenging projects? An established, privately owned multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join its Nottingham office. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of projects across sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and public sector. The Company Over 200 employees across multiple office locations. The consultancy delivers projects across healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, zero-carbon and public sector markets, with a strong focus on sustainable and research-led design. The Role As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical engineering design across a variety of projects, working with a high degree of autonomy while also supporting more junior members of the team. You will have the opportunity to take a lead role on selected projects, work directly with clients and contribute throughout the project lifecycle from inception through to completion. Your responsibilities will include: Acting as Project Leader on selected projects Working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team on larger projects Attending project meetings and making client presentations Providing technical guidance and support to more junior members of the team Supporting technical excellence within the mechanical engineering team Developing relationships with key clients and supporting repeat business Working on a variety of technically challenging projects across different sectors Taking a client-facing role throughout projects from inception to completion Producing mechanical engineering drawings and specifications Producing calculations and supporting others with their calculations Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver projects to a high standard and within agreed timescales You should have: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering HNC/HND with suitable building services design experience will also be considered Chartered status or currently working towards Chartership Experience using relevant engineering design software, including Revit Knowledge of British and European Standards and Building Regulations Knowledge of HTMs would be beneficial Professional membership of CIBSE, IET or a similar professional body Knowledge of sustainable design and renewable technologies Working knowledge of BREEAM Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to If you're interested, please contact Conner Richards at RGB Recruitment - Keywords: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Senior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, MEP, Revit, Building Regulations, BREEAM, HTM, CIBSE, Low Carbon, Sustainable Design, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Education
