Broadcast Operations Executive – Live Sports | Up to $3800/mth
Are you passionate about live broadcasting, sports and media production ?
We are looking for a Broadcast Operations Executive to support the delivery of live overseas horse racing and other broadcast events. You will play a key role behind the scenes, ensuring live transmissions run smoothly, accurately and according to broadcast standards.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with experience in live television, sports broadcasting, studio production or media operations who enjoys working in a fast-paced, real-time environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operate and monitor broadcast systems including playout servers, CG systems, vision mixers, sound mixers and video/audio feeds .
- Support seamless transmission of live overseas horse racing events and other live broadcasts .
- Ensure scheduled race feeds, programme line-ups and interstitial content are played accurately and on time.
- Perform real-time switching of video sources, graphics overlays and audio adjustments during live transmissions.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing video/audio signals to ensure broadcast quality and consistency.
- Identify and troubleshoot playout discrepancies, technical issues and system errors during live operations.
- Act as the first point of response during live broadcast disruptions and execute appropriate contingency procedures.
- Provide graphics, editing and production support for live horse racing events and lottery draws.
- Perform media ingest, content management, archiving and transfer of broadcast materials according to established SOPs.
- Ensure broadcast content and materials meet required technical and quality standards.
- Maintain broadcast equipment and support the overall day-to-day operations of the broadcasting team.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma in Mass Communications, Film, Sound & Video, Film Production or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in live sports transmission, television production, broadcasting or media operations.
- Candidates with relevant broadcast certifications or strong hands-on studio broadcasting experience may also be considered.
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop would be advantageous.
- Knowledge or exposure to horse racing, sports or lottery-related content would be an added advantage.
- Meticulous with strong attention to detail, particularly when working on live transmissions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to remain composed and respond quickly when handling issues during live broadcasts.
- Positive attitude and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and Public Holidays as part of a 24/7 operation.
