Fixed Income Trader

Our client, a well-established bank, is seeking a Fixed Income Trader to join its growing Treasury team.

Job Description

• Execute trades across fixed-income products, including government bonds, corporate bonds, credit instruments and interest-rate products.
• Manage trading positions, market risk, liquidity and portfolio performance within approved limits.
• Analyse interest-rate trends, credit markets and macroeconomic developments to identify trading opportunities.
• Provide competitive pricing, trade ideas and market commentary to Treasury Sales, Relationship Managers and institutional clients.
• Work closely with Sales, Risk, Operations and Compliance to ensure efficient execution and settlement.
• Maintain relationships with counterparties, brokers and other market participants.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk-management guidelines.
• Prepare trading reports, position updates and performance analyses for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• 3–8 years of fixed-income trading or financial-markets experience within a bank or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of government and corporate bonds, credit markets, interest-rate products and hedging instruments.
• Sound understanding of market risk, liquidity management and trading controls.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, electronic trading platforms and treasury risk-management systems.
• Strong analytical, decision-making and communication skills, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
