Assistant Manager - Finance, Consolidation
About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager in Finance, Consolidation to support the Group in producing accurate, timely and compliant financial information for management, the Board, auditors and external stakeholders. You'll be responsible for consolidating and reporting financial results from subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures in accordance with SFRS/IFRS and SGX requirements, while contributing to the ongoing improvement of the Group's finance processes, systems and automation capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Group Consolidation & Financial Reporting
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual Group consolidation and reporting
- Prepare and review consolidation journals, intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments
- Review submissions from subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, reporting schedules and hedge accounting schedules
- Support year-end audit and Annual Report preparation
SGX & Management Reporting
- Prepare management reporting packs, financial analysis and presentation materials
- Support SGX report preparation, results announcements, compliance checklists and Board reporting
Accounting & Compliance
- Support accounting policy updates and assessment of new SFRS/IFRS requirements
- Prepare accounting analysis and memoranda for significant transactions
- Liaise with external auditors and support audit and statutory reporting requirements
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Support Group budgeting and forecasting processes
- Review budgets, forecasts and key financial movements
- Prepare variance analysis, cash flow information and management reports
Stakeholder & Team Support
- Work closely with finance teams across subsidiaries and business units
- Provide guidance on Group reporting, consolidation and accounting requirements
- Support and guide junior team members where required
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred
- 6–8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, with strong Group consolidation and reporting experience
- Experience in a listed company is essential
- Experience with Oracle and/or Hyperion is essential
- Strong knowledge of SFRS/IFRS, consolidation, financial reporting and audit
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills
- Experience in process improvement, automation or finance transformation will be an advantage
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
