JOB SUMMARY

RESTAR ELECTRONICS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is the Southeast Asian hub of the RESTAR group, supplying and supporting advanced electronic components, including image sensor devices, for distributors and customers across Southeast Asia and India.

Reporting to senior management, the FAE (Field Application Engineer) Manager establishes and leads the regional technical support framework for image sensor products, bridging the engineering teams in Japan with distributors and customers in the region and building local technical capability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establishing and driving a technical support framework for the company's business expansion across Southeast Asia and India, working closely with regional distributors and customers on image sensor-related technical matters.
• Building a collaborative framework connecting the technical support teams in Japan with overseas distributors, ensuring consistent and effective technical support delivery across the region.
• Supporting local business operations to identify challenges and measure the effectiveness of the support scheme being established, providing analysis and recommendations for improvement.
• Providing technical evaluation, analysis, and customer support for image sensor products, leveraging extensive experience in image quality design and signal processing (ISP).
• Providing technical training and mentorship to local team members to build in-region technical capability and support organizational development

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience in image sensor design, technical support, or a related semiconductor / camera systems field. The successful candidate must possess the above experience within the last 3 years.
• Minimum 15 years of experience spanning image sensor pixel structure and imaging characteristics through to camera-system functionality, including image-quality (IQ) design, camera signal processing, and ISP development (including joint ISP development with external partners).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in customer technical QA, product demonstrations, and preparation of evaluation boards/modules, together with feeding technical feedback back to the design team.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supporting automotive image sensor adoption (design-in) with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs, including ADAS / surround-view camera applications.
• Proven experience leading or coordinating technical support teams, including developing and mentoring junior members, as well as building or leading a local technical support team overseas and the systematization of customer-facing technical documentation.
• Experience collaborating with overseas distributors, subsidiaries, or major customers across multiple regions (e.g., ASEAN, Greater China).
• High proficiency in both verbal and written English is essential.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related technical field.
