FLIGHT HANDLER

We are currently recruiting for a Flight Handler for our client, a successful airline catering company based at Manchester Airport. This is a Customer Service focused role and you will act as an ambassador for the company whilst ensuring the accurate and secure delivery of airline meals to the aircraft. You will be the main point of contact between the company and flight staff and deal with any queries, requests etc efficiently and promptly.
Key Duties:
- Plan and coordinate daily workloads before the start of each shift and work with colleagues to meet daily deadlines
- Ensure all inflight meals, special requests and products are assembled according to Client Flight Specification
- Place security seals on all trollies prior to delivery to flights
- Deliver all items to aircraft and confirm menu briefing with crew to ensure flight is fully catered
- Ensure colleagues have dressed cabins according to client's specifications
- Responsible to make sure required airline standards are met regarding packing plans. (Full training will be given)
- Effectively load airline food and catering supplies inside delivery trucks and at the Aircraft
- Utilise effective communications to minimise delays and resolve problems
- Multitasking and work under pressure
- Lift and/or push approximately 50lbs
- Assist with other duties within various departments as and when required
- Adhere to Company safety measures in place
- Adhere to security standards
- Adhere to cleaning and hygeine standards
- Interact with colleagues, customers and clients in a professional manner at all times
- Any other duties as requested by your manager
Required Skills:
- Full clean UK Driving license with no more than 6 points
- Strong Customer service background
- Able to work well under pressure and part of a team
- Proven problem-solving skills, efficiency and organisational skills
- Self-motivation, commitment, enthusiasm, the ability to work calmly under pressure and on your own initiative
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with a customer centered approach to service delivery
This is a temp to perm position and you will work 9.5 hour shifts between the hours of 04:00 - 23:00. Working 4 days on 4 days off shift pattern. The pay rate is £14.83.
