Manufacturing Master Data Specialist
As a Manufacturing Master Data Specialist, you will play a hands-on role in supply chain transformation by contributing to data discovery, quality improvement, and governance activities across Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing Execution Process (MEP) data domains. You’ll support connect manufacturing data, work orders, routings, BOMs, and production/quality records to enterprise master data, building a strong foundation in data management within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Let’s talk about Responsibilities Data Discovery and Requirements Definition Assist in data discovery efforts to map the current MES data landscape and identify key manufacturing data sources
Collaborate with team members to gather and understand business requirements from manufacturing and plant operations stakeholders
Provide support in documenting business processes related to critical MEP data elements (work order release, routing/BOM setup, genealogy records)
Provide timely and accurate data reports on MES-to-ERP data flows when required
Quality Measurement and Data Integrity Help establish data quality metrics for MES/MEP data and participate in monitoring efforts
Support senior team members in resolving data quality issues (e.g., work order, routing, genealogy discrepancies) and maintaining data integrity
Contribute to the implementation of data governance best practices across manufacturing execution
Assist in translating manufacturing business requirements into user stories and data specifications
Work with senior team members to validate MES/MEP data solutions and ensure they align with business needs
Data Issue Resolution Provide support in analyzing and troubleshooting data discrepancies between MES and ERP master data
Document issue resolution processes and assist in process improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration Work alongside senior team members in cross-functional projects involving procurement, logistics, and manufacturing
Conduct/participate in training workshops to share best practices for MES/MEP data and stay informed on aligning data strategies
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Business or a related field
Basic proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Understanding of data management principles and database concepts, ideally including MES data structures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams (manufacturing, IT/GTS, supply chain)
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Exposure to ERP systems (Oracle Fusion) and/or MES platforms
Coursework experience touching manufacturing/production data
