Product Engineer (Integrated Circuits) - Internship
Renesas Electronics is a leading supplier of integrated circuits for a wide range of applications, including smartphones, automotive industry, computing, and data storage, as well as the Internet of Things (IoT). The head office is located in Tokyo; the company has a global sales, R&D, and marketing network. As part of our internship program, we offer a fixed-term Product Engineering Intern position for students with the possibility of further employment in the company after successful completion of the internship. The Product Engineer ensures that manufactured integrated circuits meet all necessary requirements before they are shipped to customers. You will be involved in various cross-functional tasks to support mass production of integrated circuits for industrial and automotive markets. Responsibilities (certain activities from those listed below): Analysis of test data to determine causes of failure. Participation in failure reduction activities Communication with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues Participation in decision-making regarding the release of tested batches based on technical assessment of test data Support for qualification (HTOL, bHAST, ESD, LU, etc.) and determination of product electrical specifications (Characterization) Study and application of standards and internal quality assurance procedures Development of data analysis and automation tools All critical tasks at the initial stage are performed under the supervision of a mentor.
Bachelor's degree or student (3rd year or higher) in electrical engineering or related disciplines Basic knowledge of digital and analog circuit design Basic programming skills (Python, C#, VBA, R, or others) Basic knowledge of statistical data analysis methods Basic understanding of the integrated circuit manufacturing process English proficiency at Intermediate level
