【Background of Recruitment】

As the electrification and intelligence of automobiles progress, automotive SoCs are positioned as core technologies supporting vehicle performance and functions. The R-Car series has continued to evolve as large-scale SoCs that highly integrate numerous SoC IPs, such as CPUs, high-speed interfaces, memory, AI/video, functional safety, and security. Among these, high-speed SerDes interfaces (PCIe, CSI, DP, UCIe, etc.) are critical elements directly linked to the performance and reliability of the entire SoC, making quality assurance through actual hardware evaluation and signal quality verification increasingly important. With the increasing sophistication and speed of designs, there is a growing need for personnel who can organize evaluation policies and make technical judgments regarding results during the evaluation stage. Our department is seeking individuals who are well-versed in evaluation practicalities and can technically lead high-speed SerDes interface evaluation while collaborating with design teams and IP vendors. We expect you to be involved in the entire development process centered on the evaluation domain and contribute to raising the overall SoC quality.

【Job Responsibilities】

• Technically lead high-speed SerDes interface evaluation in automotive SoCs (R-Car series).
• Target examples: PCIe, CSI, DP, UCIe, SerDes PHY, and other high-speed I/F.
• Lead the assurance of high-speed interface quality and reliability through actual hardware evaluation, signal quality evaluation, stress testing, and compliance verification.
• Responsible for organizing evaluation specifications/policies, designing evaluation items, and summarizing evaluation results.
• When defects occur, collaborate with design teams, SoC teams, and IP vendors to promote root cause isolation and countermeasure investigation.
• Technically lead evaluation and design members in Japan and overseas (India, Vietnam), contributing to the improvement of overall team quality by organizing evaluation procedures and judgment criteria.

Qualifications

【MUST】

• Practical experience in evaluation or verification related to high-speed interfaces (SerDes, PCIe, UCIe, etc.).
• Experience in defect analysis, root cause isolation, and countermeasure investigation through actual hardware evaluation, signal quality evaluation, stress testing, etc.
• Experience in organizing evaluation results and conducting technical discussions/coordination with design teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge and evaluation experience regarding analog circuits or analog characteristics (PLL, PHY, jitter, noise, SI/PI, etc.).
• Ability to perform technical collaboration and coordination in English with design centers in India and Vietnam, as well as with IP vendors.

【WANT】

• Experience as an evaluation lead or sub-lead in specific high-speed I/F such as PCIe, CSI, DP, UCIe, SerDes PHY, etc.
• Experience in high-speed signal measurement and analysis using oscilloscopes, BERT, TDR, etc.
• Experience in technical inquiries, issue coordination, and sharing evaluation results with external IP vendors.
• Evaluation experience in automotive SoCs or products with high quality/reliability requirements.
• An orientation toward expanding the scope of collaboration with design and the overall SoC, centered on the evaluation domain.
• Japanese: Communication level.
