Network and system engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Network and System Engineer to handle end-to-end IT infrastructure: networking, servers, virtualization, and security for enterprise and hospitality projects.

You will be involved in project implementation, system integration, and L2/L3 support. This role requires you to be hands-on with both network devices and Windows / VMware servers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Networking

• Install, configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, wireless APs/controllers
• LAN/WAN, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, VPN, NAT, DHCP, DNS
• Wi-Fi survey, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Firewall policy creation, NAT, IPSec VPN
• Brands: Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Ruckus, Juniper, Huawei

1. Systems / Server

• Install and maintain Windows Server 2019/2022, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO
• VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, backup and restore
• Basic Linux administration and troubleshooting
• Manage Office 365, Azure AD, file sharing, antivirus, WSUS
• Server patching, backup (Veeam), and monitoring

1. Project Delivery

• Perform site surveys, rack mounting, cabling checks, device staging
• Execute project implementation, migration, cutover and UAT with clients
• Prepare network diagrams, IP schemes, and as-built documentation

1. Operations & Support

• Provide L2/L3 onsite and remote support for network and server issues
• Handle incident tickets, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance
• On-call standby rotation for critical clients
• Coordinate with vendors for TAC, RMA, and firmware upgrades

1. Security

• Implement hardening for network and servers
• Assist with ISO27001, vulnerability remediation, and security best practices
• Work with Security team for firewall, endpoint security, and DLP

Requirements

Technical Must-Have:

• Strong TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, firewall
• Strong Windows Server, AD, VMware
• Hands-on with Fortinet / Cisco / Aruba AND Windows / VMware
• Tools: Wireshark, PRTG / SolarWinds, Veeam, Active Directory

Education & Certs:

• Diploma / Degree in IT / Computer Engineering / Networking
• 3-6 years in similar role
• Preferred: CCNA + MCSA / MCSE + Fortinet NSE4/5 + VCP or AZ-104

Soft Skills:

• Can work independently onsite
• Good troubleshooting and documentation discipline
• Good communication with clients
• Willing to work after-hours for cutover / maintenance windows
