Located in the heart of the village of Val d’Isère, Les Barmes de l’Ours*****, a member of Relais & Châteaux, offers you the opportunity to work and develop your skills in an establishment providing quality service to its clientele. You will evolve in an exceptional setting, at the foot of the slopes and a few meters from numerous activities (aqua-sports center, cinema, seasonal workers' center...). The hotel consists of 76 rooms and suites, each floor featuring a warm and original decor. The establishment also consists of three restaurants directed by Chef Antoine Gras: La Table de l’Ours, our gastronomic restaurant, 1 star in the Michelin Guide, La Rôtisserie, redesigned with its traditional dishes, and our Coin Savoyard. Our bar offers original or personalized creations that meet our customers' desires in a warm environment by the fireside. In continuity, the Kid’s club area and our bowling alley give our clientele the opportunity to spend pleasant moments throughout the day. A highlight, the 1,000 m² SPA area notably includes an indoor pool enjoying beautiful natural light. At the same level, you will find our hair salon, where you have the possibility to access preferential rates. AS ASSISTANT MAÎTRE D'HÔTEL Under the direction of the Maître d’hôtel, you will assist him in missions such as: Participating in the organization and coordination of the team's work to guarantee fluid and quality service. Ensuring coordination between the dining room, the kitchen, and the various hotel services. Replacing the Maître d'Hôtel in his absence: briefings, operational management of the team, and ensuring the smooth running of service. Managing reservations and the precise follow-up of each rule in force within the establishment. Guaranteeing a personalized welcome and ensuring the satisfaction of our clientele throughout their experience. Advising customers, developing sales, and supervising order taking. Managing the supply and management of supplies necessary for service. Participating in the management of payments. Controlling the correct application of internal procedures, quality standards, as well as hygiene and food safety rules (HACCP).
A significant experience of at least 2 years in a similar position and establishment. Mastery of dining room service techniques and attention to detail. Excellent presentation and very good interpersonal skills. Sense of service and customer satisfaction. Organization, rigor, and team spirit. Autonomy, reactivity, and the ability to manage unforeseen events with professionalism. Mastery of English is essential. Mastery of the Pi software is a plus.
