Assistant concierge (M/F) - Hôtel les Barmes de l'Ours

Located in the heart of the village of Val d’Isère, Les Barmes de l’Ours*****, a member of Relais & Châteaux, offers you the opportunity to work and develop your skills in an establishment providing high-quality service to its clientele. You will evolve in an exceptional setting, at the foot of the slopes and just a few meters from numerous activities (aqua-sports center, cinema, seasonal workers' center...).

The hotel consists of 76 rooms and suites, each floor featuring a warm and original decor.

The establishment also includes three restaurants led by Chef Antoine Gras: La Table de l’Ours, our gastronomic restaurant, 1 star in the Michelin Guide, La Rôtisserie, redesigned with its traditional dishes, and our Coin Savoyard.

Our bar offers original or personalized creations that meet our clients' desires in a warm environment by the fireside. Following this, the Kid’s club area and our bowling alley offer our clientele the opportunity to spend pleasant moments throughout the day.

A highlight, the 1,000 m² SPA area notably includes an indoor pool enjoying beautiful natural light. On the same level, you will find our hair salon, where you have the possibility to access preferential rates.

Finally, our partner Proshop will allow you to rent your ski equipment at discounted prices.

AS ASSISTANT CHEF CONCIERGE

Under the direction of the Chef Concierge, your main missions will be:

• Assist the Chef Concierge in the daily organization of the service and ensure the relay to the team in his absence.
• Ensure a high-quality welcome for guests and facilitate the smooth running of their stay.
• Be attentive to the habits and expectations of our clientele in order to offer them tailor-made recommendations.
• Develop and maintain a network of high-quality local partners.
• Maintain constant monitoring of news, events, and new addresses in order to enrich the recommendations offered to clients.
• Coordinate services with the various partners of the establishment and ensure their smooth running.
• Participate in the training of teams to the establishment's standards and coordinate the daily activity of the Valets.
• Ensure fluid communication with all hotel departments to guarantee perfect coordination and a high-quality customer experience.
• Ensure the maintenance and cleaning of hotel vehicles as well as the snow removal around the establishment.
• Respect internal procedures as well as the establishment's quality standards.

Coming from a hotel management background, you have successful experience in a similar position. Excellent presentation and very good interpersonal skills. Acute sense of customer service and particular attention to detail. Organizational skills, rigor, and the ability to support a team on a daily basis. Team spirit and the ability to manage priorities in a demanding environment. Sense of observation and facial recognition skills. Fluency in English is essential and a second language is a plus.

The position:

• Accommodation (or housing allowance) and meals provided
• Salary according to convention and experience / 43 hours per week
• Seasonal contract from early December to mid-April
