Truck Driver

Responsibilities:

Driving and Navigation: Operate heavy commercial vehicles over short or long distances while obeying all traffic laws and managing travel routes using GPS systems. Vehicle Inspection: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tires, brakes, and equipment, reporting any mechanical issues immediately. Cargo Management: Load, unload, or oversee the secure placement of freight using straps, chains, or ropes to prevent shifting. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, fuel consumption, mileage, and delivery receipts. Communication: Coordinate with dispatchers regarding traffic delays, route changes, or road hazards. Compliance: Adhere to government safety regulations, weight limits, and hours-of-service rules 

Requirements:

Must have a valid Driver’s Licence appropriate for the assigned truck. Proven experience as a Truck/Heavy-Duty Vehicle Driver. Excellent knowledge of Lagos roads and major routes. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations. Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and vehicle troubleshooting. Must be careful, safety-conscious, reliable, and trustworthy. Good communication and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules. Candidates should preferably reside within or have reasonable proximity to the Lagos Mainland.
