Strategic Buyer with Cluster Responsibility (m/f/d)

Your Task

• Development and implementation of procurement strategies for defined procurement clusters
• Responsibility for supplier strategy, supplier portfolio, and continuous supplier development
• Selection, qualification, evaluation, and development of national and international suppliers
• Identification of new procurement markets, supply sources, and optimization potentials
• Execution of market, competitor, cost, and risk analyses
• Leading price, contract, and framework agreement negotiations
• Development and implementation of bundling, standardization, and cost optimization measures
• Development of make-or-buy concepts in cooperation with the specialist departments
• Purchasing contact person for projects within the responsible procurement cluster
• Support of project teams in supplier and procurement decisions
• Management of strategic escalations within the responsible supplier portfolio
• Execution of supplier evaluations and performance reviews
• Continuous further development of the supplier base and implementation of sustainable improvement measures
• Participation in interdisciplinary and international procurement and optimization projects

Your Profile

• Successfully completed studies in the field of industrial engineering, business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, Category Management, or a comparable function, ideally in mechanical or plant engineering
• Demonstrable success in strategic negotiations as well as in the development of suppliers
• Strong technical and business understanding as well as entrepreneurial thinking
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented way of working with a high degree of personal responsibility
• Strong communication and assertiveness skills

• Proficient use of ERP systems as well as MS Office
