Reeson Education are recruiting a Pastoral, Welfare and Behaviour Officer to join the Student Services at an Outstanding secondary school in Redbridge. This is an opportunity to support young people, help resolve difficulties and keep pupils engaged in school life.

As a Pastoral, Welfare and Behaviour Officer, you will work closely with the internal team, the schools' students, families and staff, combining practical welfare support with clear expectations around behaviour.

ABOUT THE PASTORAL, WELFARE AND BEHAVIOUR OFFICER ROLE

• Provide day-to-day pastoral support and respond to safeguarding concerns.
• Help pupils manage their behaviour and overcome barriers to learning.
• Coordinate support plans and monitor progress.
• Maintain records and liaise with families and external professionals.
• Support exclusion administration, reintegration meetings and Reflection Room arrangements.

THE SUCCESSFUL PASTORAL, WELFARE AND BEHAVIOUR OFFICER WILL HAVE

• Relevant safeguarding and student welfare experience.
• A calm, consistent approach to challenging behaviour.
• The confidence to build trust while maintaining boundaries.
• Strong communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
• Familiarity with Bromcom Software.
