Warehouse Operator

Elstree, Hertfordshire (WD6) Full-Time | Permanent Competitive Salary + Overtime Available

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operator to join a growing operations team based in Elstree.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in warehouse, manufacturing, production, retail, hospitality, or similar environments who are looking to develop new skills and build a long-term career within a fast-paced operational setting. Full training will be provided.

Shift Patterns

• Early Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm (Monday to Friday)
• Late Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm (Monday to Friday)
• Night Shift: 9:00pm - 6:00am (Monday to Thursday, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off)
• Alternative Early Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm (Tuesday to Saturday)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the organisation and management of supplies and materials to keep the production line running smoothly.
• Follow established manufacturing processes and maintain accurate records of jobs executed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
• Resolve any operational issues, minimising downtime and ensuring efficient workflow.
• Work closely with other operational teams to prioritise and fulfil orders promptly, contributing to the timely delivery of products.
• Inspect materials and products for quality, and make precise adjustments to ensure top-notch results.
• Learn to operate and maintain a variety of equipment and machinery used in the production process.
• Earn relevant qualifications and certifications as you grow in your role, with opportunities for further skill development and career advancement.

Requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
• Possess a willingness to learn and develop new skills on the job.
• Have a strong work ethic demonstrated in a warehouse or other working environments, including retail, hospitality, or similar roles.
• Good attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Basic problem-solving skills, with the confidence to ask questions and follow instructions when issues arise.
• Organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks with guidance and support.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Ability to follow processes, work independently when required, and manage time to meet KPI targets.
• Physical capability to be on your feet for periods of time and handle manual tasks safely, with training provided.
• Flexibility to work different shifts or occasional weekends, where required.

Desirable Skills

• Curious and interested in working within a digital print and finishing environment.
