Test Manager/Data & Integration Test Lead

Your tasks

We are seeking an experienced Test Manager/Data & Integration Test Lead to lead testing activities across a complex engineering and technology programme. This role involves defining and executing the test strategy across data, systems integration, APIs, and operational technology environments, ensuring successful deployment into live operations.

Day-to-day of the role

• Own and deliver the end-to-end test strategy across multiple workstreams.
• Define test plans, acceptance criteria, test environments, and deployment activities.
• Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment validation.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential defects.
• Work with engineering and operational teams to validate technology deployments within live operational environments.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of integration and system issues.
• Investigate API failures, error codes, and interface issues between multiple systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve system performance, resilience, and data quality.
• Produce test reports, defect analysis, and deployment readiness assessments.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Support go-live planning and post-deployment monitoring activities.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Test Manager or Senior Test Lead on large-scale transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience leading SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and deployment activities.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interrogate and validate complex datasets.
• Experience using SQL and data analysis tools to identify defects and performance issues.
• Previous experience working within engineering, manufacturing, logistics, automation, operational technology (OT), or highly operational environments.
• Experience troubleshooting APIs and integrations.
• Ability to interpret API logs, identify error codes, and work with technical teams to resolve issues.
• Strong stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable Experience

• Data Science or Advanced Analytics background.
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, Power BI, or similar analytical tools.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Experience working within supply chain, logistics, parcel, warehouse, automation, or engineering environments.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure.
• Experience supporting large-scale operational deployments.
