Student Support Assistant
Job Type: Part-time (18 hours over 4 days per week) Location: North London Salary: £16-£18 per hour (umbrella)
We are currently seeking a proactive Student Support Assistant to join our Further Education college in North London. This role focuses on supporting SEN (Special Educational Needs) students, providing them with the necessary assistance to thrive in their educational environment. Immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide tailored support to SEN students across various departments within the college.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to ensure effective support strategies are in place.
- Monitor and report on the progress of students, attending to any specific needs identified.
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and motivating environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold an enhanced DBS check.
- Experience in supporting SEN students within an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.
