Stock Manager

Location: Tilbury, Essex Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £35,000 - £42,000pa DOE

We are currently seeking an experienced Stock Manager to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse operation in Tilbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of stock control processes while managing a small team of four warehouse operatives.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage and lead a team of 4 warehouse/stock operatives.
• Oversee all stock control activities across the warehouse.
• Conduct and manage regular cycle counts and stock audits.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Monitor stock accuracy and implement corrective actions where required.
• Maintain accurate stock records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Produce stock reports and KPI data for management.
• Coordinate stock movements, goods-in, and goods-out activities.
• Ensure inventory processes are followed and continuously improved.
• Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure efficient workflow.
• Support with annual stocktakes and customer stock reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and company procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience; Stock Management, Stock Supervisor, or Stock Manager position.
• Experience managing or supervising a small team.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse processes.
• Experience conducting cycle counts and stock investigations.
• Confident using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics or warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
