Job Purpose

To manage the Dunster Beach holiday complex, the business activities of the company and the staff employed by the company. Inclusive in the role is the management of the private beach, sea defences, lakes and grounds and the upkeep of the 250 acres.

Relationships

Reporting to: Chair of Dunster Beach Holidays Ltd Responsible for: All employed team members which consist of reception, retail and grounds team both permanent and seasonal team members Liaison with: Board Directors, shareholders and their families, rental guests, suppliers, contractors and external agencies

Main responsibilities of the role

Working closely with the nominated Directors and Managers the post holder will be responsible for: o Operational management of the beach complex o Management of the Company’s assets o Ensuring the company is aware of and fulfils its regulatory and legal obligations o Developing, managing and controlling the company’s income and expenditure in line with agreed business plans and budgets o Recruit and manage staff as per budgetary requirements, and ensuring Company HR procedures are carried out o Maintaining compliance with Health & Safety, food safety and other regulatory requirements o Preparing monthly financial reports as requested by the Board along with operational reports as required o Preparation of documents and attendance at Board meetings and general meetings of the shareholders o Plan grounds work and projects to coincide with the seasons o Working with environmental agencies and neighbouring landowners in collaborative projects for the enhancement of the site o Enforcing the beach rules are adhered to by shareholders and users of the beach
