Annual Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Location: Edgware, North London Job Type: Full-time
Join our team as a Shipping Documentation & Sales Support Coordinator in our Edgware office. This role is essential for coordinating and checking international shipping documentation from order through to completion, while also providing vital day-to-day support to our sales team and customers.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Coordinate pre- and post-shipment documentation for international shipments.
- Prepare, check, and scrutinise shipping and commercial documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, Certificates of Origin, and Certificates of Conformity.
- Identify discrepancies, errors, or missing information and ensure they are corrected promptly.
- Liaise with overseas customers, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other service providers.
- Coordinate pre-shipment inspections and documentation with organisations such as SGS, Intertek, and Bureau Veritas.
- Maintain accurate order and shipment information on the company's systems, including ManSys.
- Follow up proactively to ensure documentation and shipments progress within required deadlines.
- Respond to customer and supplier enquiries by telephone and email.
- Provide general sales administration and commercial support to colleagues when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly organised and methodical, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive attitude, following matters through to completion.
- Confident in communicating professionally with customers, suppliers, and service providers.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and computer-based systems.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as within a small team.
- Previous experience in shipping, import/export, logistics, freight forwarding, or similar roles is highly advantageous.
- Experience with specific shipping documents like Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists is particularly useful.
- Formal qualifications in related fields are useful but not essential.
