Reward Manager

Local Authority | London EC2V Hybrid Working Immediate Start Initial 3-Month Contract (Potential Extension) Up to £37.88 per hour PAYE / £49.70 per hour Umbrella

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Reward Manager to join a London-based Local Authority and support the delivery of a major Reward Transformation Programme.

Working within the Corporate People & HR function, you will act as the operational lead for reward activities, supporting the implementation of new reward frameworks and ensuring a smooth transition into business-as-usual operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of a reward transformation programme.
  • Assess the impact of programme deliverables on existing reward practices.
  • Analyse and implement changes to reward frameworks and pay structures.
  • Provide financial analysis and reward modelling to support decision-making.
  • Translate new Pay & Grading arrangements into business-as-usual processes.
  • Ensure implementation activities are supported by accurate and validated data.
  • Produce reward modelling and reporting using advanced Excel skills.
  • Provide expert reward advice to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Support ongoing reward activities alongside project delivery.

Essential Requirements

  • Significant experience working within a Reward function undergoing transformation.
  • Extensive knowledge of reward practices, including pay models, grading structures, job families and job evaluation frameworks.
  • Direct experience using the Hay Guide Chart Job Evaluation Methodology .
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and reward modelling.
  • Experience delivering reward transformation and organisational change programmes.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management and project management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within Local Government or the wider Public Sector.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent HR/Reward qualification.
  • Experience supporting large-scale HR transformation projects.
