Senior Business Support Officer
Hourly Rate: £13.69 Location: Crystal Peaks, Sheffield Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (Office attendance required on Mondays) Sector: Local Authority
We are seeking a Senior Business Support Officer for the Maximising Independence Team (MIT) at a local authority, which is dedicated to promoting independent living through short-term, person-centred, and strength-based enablement support. This role is crucial in facilitating the smooth operation of the team and ensuring effective communication and documentation management.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Travel and work from the Crystal Peaks office on Mondays for team days.
- Facilitate and take minutes during meetings both in-person and over MS Teams, including the fortnightly Needs and Risk Forum (NARF).
- Update action logs and trackers to ensure all team activities are recorded and monitored effectively.
- Create and maintain a digital document library of resources and information relevant to the team’s operations.
- Research, record, and disseminate information about community support options available to enhance the team’s outreach.
- Manage and track enablement processes and spreadsheets to support cost-effective service delivery.
- Handle incoming enquiries from staff and clients, record information on the Liquid Logic Adult Social Care (LAS) system, and direct queries to the appropriate team member.
- Provide cross-cover support for other mental health business support staff as needed, including managing calls and emails directed to the adult mental health services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in administrative roles within a local authority or similar environment.
- Skilled in minute-taking and meeting facilitation, both in-person and virtually.
- Proficient in using MS Teams and other digital communication tools.
- Ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
