SEND Annual Reviews Caseworker
About the role: We’re working with a West Yorkshire based Local Authority who are seeking a dedicated SEND Case Officer to join their Annual Reviews team. You will be supporting a cluster of schools, processing annual reviews and holding responsibility for your own caseload. This is an exciting opportunity to support children and young people with SEND, and play a leading role in shaping inclusive education outcomes. This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with office presence required once a week minimum. In this role, you will: Take ownership of a high-volume EHCP caseload, with a particular focus on delivering high-quality Annual Reviews Oversee the end-to-end review process, bringing together input from schools, families, and professionals to inform decision-making Produce, update, and refine EHCP documentation that clearly reflects individual needs and review outcomes Ensure SEND procedures are delivered in line with statutory guidelines, including the Children and Families Act (2014) and SEND Code of Practice (2015) Build trusted relationships with parents, carers, and young people, providing clear, responsive, and compassionate support Collaborate proactively with schools, providers, and partner agencies to secure the right support and best possible outcomes
Essential Requirements: We’re looking for someone who brings: Strong experience within a local authority SEND setting Experience with Capita One, SharePoint, Teams, and the Microsoft packages In-depth knowledge of EHCP processes, SEND legislation, and annual reviews Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage complex caseloads and statutory processes Advanced English communication skills for sensitive stakeholder interactions
