Leading Grammar School | Medway Full-Time | January/February 2027 Start Maternity Cover

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic German Teacher to join a highly regarded grammar school in Medway on a full-time maternity cover basis from January or February 2027 .

The school is seeking a dedicated linguist with the ability to deliver German up to A Level , inspiring students to develop confidence, fluency, and a genuine appreciation of language and culture. This is an exciting chance to become part of a successful Modern Foreign Languages department within a school renowned for its academic excellence, high expectations, and exceptional student outcomes.

The Role

  • Teach German across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including A Level.
  • Deliver engaging and ambitious lessons that stretch and challenge students.
  • Plan, prepare and assess students' work to a high standard.
  • Foster a positive learning environment where students thrive academically.
  • Contribute to the wider success of the MFL department and school community.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for German language and culture.
  • Experience teaching German up to A Level, or the capability to do so confidently.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to achieving the highest standards for all students.
