Sittingbourne, Kent £15.00 per hour 25 Hours per Week | Flexible Working Hours 3-Month Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Our client is a business based in Sittingbourne, specialising in the distribution of agricultural produce. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a reliable and organised Sales Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a 3-month temporary to permanent basis .

This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking part-time hours within a supportive and welcoming working environment.

The Role

Working 25 hours per week across 5 days, you'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day sales ledger function, ensuring customer accounts are maintained accurately and efficiently.

Key Duties

  • Raising and processing sales invoices
  • Allocating customer payments
  • Maintaining accurate customer account records
  • Reconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies
  • Chasing outstanding payments where required
  • Processing credit notes
  • Entering, coding, matching sterling & Euro invoices/ credits onto Rubicon
  • Handling customer account queries via phone and email
  • Assisting with month-end sales ledger procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
  • Supporting the wider finance team with general administration duties

The Person

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience within a sales ledger, accounts administration or finance support role
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills
  • A confident and professional telephone manner
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
