Revenues and Benefits Client Officer
Job Type: Full-time Temporary 12+ weeks Location: Hybrid working with collaboration across Hertfordshire local authorities Salary: £20.53 - £22.50 per hour (37 hours per week) Join the team as a Revenues and Benefits Client Officer, where you will be pivotal in driving quality, accuracy, and strategic delivery within our Revenues and Benefits service. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the established partner, Liberata UK Ltd, focusing on auditing, monitoring performance, and shaping the future of the services. Day-to-day of the role: Conduct high-level quality assurance checks on Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support, and Council Tax work. Interpret complex benefit legislation and case law to drive continuous service improvements and best practice. Collaborate closely with internal housing teams, local authorities, the DWP, and the Shared Anti-Fraud Service to enhance service delivery. Act as a key liaison to resolve complex enquiries from residents, Members, and stakeholders, ensuring high standards of customer service and compliance. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven background in processing Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support with strong technical knowledge of benefit legislation. IRRV / IRRV NVQ qualification is desirable, though extensive equivalent processing experience in Housing Benefits is essential. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences. A collaborative team player who takes ownership and is motivated by delivering excellence.
