Location: Sheffield City Council, Manor Lane, Sheffield, S2 1TR Pay Rate: £22.32 per hour (Umbrella) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 16:00pm Contract Length: 5 - 6 Months (Full Time)
Sheffield City Council are looking for an experienced and qualified Joiner to join their team on a full-time temporary contract for approximately 5 - 6 months . The successful candidate will be based at Manor Lane, Sheffield , carrying out a range of backlog repair works across council properties.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for consistent work with the possibility of additional overtime.
Day-to-day of the role
- Carry out a variety of joinery repairs and maintenance works.
- Complete backlog repairs to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
- Work on domestic and commercial council properties.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations.
- Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Joinery (or equivalent qualification)
- Valid Basic DBS Certificate
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience carrying out repairs and maintenance work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
